Vacancies in Assistant Professor Cadre, Pay grade 15600-39100 + AGP 6000 :

  1. A Master’s degree level in physical education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record.
  2. Record of having represented the University / college at the interUniversity/inter-collegiate competitions or the state and /or national championships.
  3. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
  4. Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with UGC Regulations.
  5. However, candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the “U.G.C. REGULATIONS ON MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS AND OTHER ACADEMIC STAFF IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES AND MEASURES FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION -2010”, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment
2. Medical Officer 02(UR) M.B.B.S. Degree from a recognized Institute / University. Candidates having Master’s degree will be preferred and special preference will be given to the candidates having Master’s degree in Medicine / Surgery / Gynecology and Obstetrics.
3. Workshop Supdt. 01(UR) First class Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering with 5 years experience in reputed workshop or industry. (or)
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial or Production Engineering with 7 years experience in any reputed Industry or Workshop as Assistant Engineer or equivalent.
4. Programmer 01(UR) B.E. / B. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (or) M.C.A. / M.Sc. in Computer Science with 1 year experience (or) Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science with 7 years experience in operating computer systems & writing computer programme.


Qualifications & Experience in Different Cadres :

(A) ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY DISCIPLINE

Associate Professor Pay Band 37400-67000 AGP 9000/ Qualification as above that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and PhD or equivalent, in appropriate discipline Post PhD publications and guiding PhD student is highly desirable Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching / research /industry of which 2 years post PhD experience is desirable. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in AICTE Regulations.
Professor Pay Band 37400-67000 AGP 10000/ Qualification as above that is for the post of Associate Professor, applicable
Post PhD publications and guiding PhD student is highly desirable
For Professor Training and Placement the candidates from all Engineering disciplines offered in the University are only eligible
Minimum of 10 years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor
(or) Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and / or Industry.
In case of research experience, good academic record and books / research paper publications / IPR / patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Screening/Selection committee.
For the experience in industry to be considered, the same shall be at senior managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/ research paper publications / IPR / patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Screening / Selection committee.
A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in AICTE Regulations.


(B) MASTER IN COMPUTER APPLICATION DISCIPLINE
CADRES QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
Professor in M.C.A. Pay Band 37400-67000 AGP 10000/- B.E. / B.Tech. and M.E. /M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in B.E. /B. Tech or M.E. / M. Tech. (or)

Post PhD publications and guiding PhD student is highly desirable.

(C) HUMANITIES AND SCIENCES
CADRES QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
Assistant Professor: Mathematics / Physics /Humanities (Psychology), Pay Band ` 15600-39100 AGP 6000/ (i)Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University / or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
(ii)Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturer conducted by the U.G.C., C.S.I.R. or similartest accredited by the U.G.C., CSIR.SLET/SET
(iii)Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses (i) & (ii) as mentioned above candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with U.G.C. REGULATIONS ON MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS AND OTHER ACADEMIC STAFF IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES AND MEASURES FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION -2010, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of / Assistant Professor.

Associate Professor (Mathematics/Chemistry / English) Pay Band 37400-67000 AGP 9000/- (i)Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned / allied / relevant disciplines
(ii)A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
(i)A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/ policy papers
(ii)Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
(iii)A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in U.G.C. Regulations.
Professor (Mathematics), Pay Band 37400-67000 AGP 10000/ Qualification as above that is for the post of Associate Professor, applicable. (i)An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification (s) in the concerned/allied relevant discipline and published work of high quality engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and /or research /policy papers.
(ii)A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University /College, and/or experience in research at the University / National level institutions / industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii)Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(iv)A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic, Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in U.G.C. Regulation
An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline to be substantiated by credentials are also eligible.


GENERAL CONDITIONS:


  1. All posts carry dearness allowances and other allowances as per University rules.
  2. Number and nature of the vacancies may be changed. No claim shall be admissible arising out of change in nature and/or number of posts advertised. The University reserves the right not to fill any or all the posts.
  3. The employed candidates must send their applications through proper channel. However, an advanced copy may be sent so as to reach before the last date and the application duly forwarded through proper channel must reach within 15 days from the last date failing which the candidature shall stand cancelled automatically.
  4. Separate applications are to be sent for each post.
  5. Details of qualifications and required experience to be possessed by candidate till the last date of application are being supplied along with the application form. Candidates not possessing the prescribed qualification and experience on the last date of application shall not be considered in any case
  6. Candidates called for interview shall not be entitled for any T.A./D.A. Candidates called for interview shall have to essentially come with the original documents in support of their claim in application form and as prescribed in interview letter, failing which they shall not be considered for interview.
  7. The qualification and experiences prescribed are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
  8. A screening board shall scrutinize all the applications for recommending the name of candidates to be called for interview. No representation from those, not being recommended and not called for the interview will be entertained at any stage.
  9. Appointments against these post shall ordinarily be on probation for two years for Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor and one year for Professor which may be extended if performance is not satisfactory. However, the University reserves the right to make appointment for limited period on any of such posts.
  10. The application form must be supported by attested copies of marks sheets/certificates/ degrees/caste certificate/age certificate/ experience/no objection certificate/list of titles, books, research papers, articles, publications etc. as mentioned in application form. A passport size attested photograph should be affixed on the application form in the space provided
  11. Incomplete applications or applications received after the last date i.e. 16th March, 2016 shall not be entertained.
  12. Candidates belonging to the Category of Schedule Caste (SC) / Schedule Tribe (ST) / Other Backward Class (OBC) of UTTAR PRADESH are only eligible for reservation in respective Category. Such candidates shall have to produce the category certificate as proof of being from respective category. Candidates from OBC category shall have to produce OBC category certificate issued on a date not earlier than 6 months at the time of interview. Candidates failing to produce the valid category certificate as prescribed by U.P. Govt. shall not be allowed to appear in interview and University will not be responsible for the consequences arising out of it.
  13. The completed application forms along with prescribed fee must reach to Registrar, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur – 273010 (U.P.) through Registered/Speed Post only, latest by 16th March, 2016 failing which the applications will not be considered
  14. All appointments made against these posts shall be governed by the rules and regulations as prescribed by the University from time to time.
