NIPER-Guwahati is the fifth Institute of National Importance on Pharmaceutical Education under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The NIPER-Guwahati started functioning from the month of September, 2008. The Institute is presently housed at the NIPS, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam with an excellent facility for advanced Education and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Presently the Institute is offering M.S (Pharm.) and Ph. D. Programmes in five different branches namely Pharmacology & Toxicology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy Practices, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmaceutics.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
a. The positions are not entitled to DA and CCA. b. HRA is admissible to JRF as per Central Govt. norms applicable in the city/location where they are working. The percentage required for calculating HRA will be based on the fellowship amount. c. The positions not entitled to any other allowances. d. The positions shall be governed by the disciplinary regulations including leave as per rules adopted by the Host Institute where he/she is working. e. The Director reserves the right to withdraw the post so advertised at any time without assigning any reason. g. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained. h. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) and female applicants) and 3 years for OBC – Non-creamy layer candidates. i. Appointment is temporary and contractual in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent for every year. The candidate will have no right to claim for regular appointment in the institute. All appointments are contractual in nature and on fixed/consolidated pay. j. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview. k. The process of selection may include presentation / seminar / test / interview or as may be decided by the Selection Committee. l. Age, Qualification, Experience etc. will be decided on the closing date of application/ date of interview.
