University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkote.is a public university exclusively dedicated to the study and research of Horticultural Sciences established by the Government of Karnataka at Bagalkote district. Realizing the importance of Horticulture and the need for research and development support for its further expansion, the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot was established by the Government of Karnataka through a special ordinance (no.2 of 2008) on 22/11/2008 and duly enacted by Karnataka Act no-11 of 2010 dated 13/05/2010. The university has three important mandates — imparting quality education; conducting applied strategic and basic research in all branches of horticulture and allied disciplines; and conducting and facilitating transfer of technologies to the benefit of farming communities through effective extension education system and outreach programmes. Bioversity International is a global research-for-development organization. Our vision is that agricultural biodiversity nourishes people and sustains the planet. Compensation:
Bioversity offers attractive all-inclusive lump sum compensation. The position is initially for one year with a probationary period of 3 months and extendable depending on performance of the incumbent and availability of funds. However the monthly remuneration is subject to UHS Bagalkot terms and conditions.

Candidates are necessarily required to produce original certificates in support of their credentials at the time of interview. The appointment is purely on contract basis. The selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointment as the positions are purely on contract basis. Positions are initially for one year and its extendable based on the performance and availability of the funds. The age limit for all the positions should not be more than 35 years as on the date of application. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. The decision of Regional Director and Liaison officer, Bioversity International will be final and binding in all respects.
