The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government relating directly to national security and the Indian armed forces. The Ministry has the largest budget among the federal departments of India and currently maintains fourth in military expenditure,among countries of the world. The President of India is the ceremonial commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the country. The Ministry of Defence provides policy framework and resources to the armed forces to discharge their responsibility in the context of the defence of the country. The Indian Armed Forces (including Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy) and Indian Coast Guard under the Ministry of Defences are primarily responsible for ensuring the territorial integrity of the nation. At present, the undergoing new creation of National Defence University, for training of military officials and concerned civilian officials, will be administered and overseen by Ministry of Defence. The ministry organises and runs Republic Day celebrations and parade every year in January, hosting a chief guest.

Candidates passed Diploma on or after 01-08-2016 only are eligible
Age limit: Maximum Age 25 years as on 01.01.2019 Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST & PHP candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates
General Details:
Stipend paid @ Rs. 10,400/- per month
The duration of apprenticeship training is one year
Canteen, transport and accommodation (out station candidates only) facilities will be provided on chargeable basis
OPD medical facilities will be provided at BEL hospital as per company norms
Accidental Insurance coverage for Rs. 5,00,000/- will be provided during the training period
Candidates should bring the filled application form as per the Performa - “A” enclosed along with original and a copy of all semester marks sheets & Provisional diploma Certificate (PDC) and SSLC Marks sheet
Candidates are required to bring HB Pencils, Sharpener and Eraser.
