Candidates should note that each college will conduct its registration process separately, and that there is no centralization of this process. Candidates will therefore have to apply separately to each of the colleges they are seeking admission during each registration and admission rounds. Please refer to the document “Schedule for Admissions on the basis of ECA in Undergraduate Courses – 2019” uploaded on the Delhi University website.
Step 1: Candidates, selected in the merit list of any ECA activity, have to register their names in the registration and document verification sessions at all the colleges to which they seek admission, and where that specific ECA activity/sub-category is listed ( Refer to the annexure in the Bulletin of Information for the ECA seat matrix offered by each college.) They have to apply to the colleges in these registration sessions at the specific dates and times notified in the uploaded document mentioned above. .
Step 2: During the registration process, the candidate has to register his/her name in the specific ECA activity/subcategory and specify the courses in which he/she is interested in (in order of preference) and the percentage marks (academic) relevant to that course. If a candidate’s name appears in more than one merit list, he/she will need to register his/her name separately for each of those activities/sub-categories, even in the same college. .
Step 3: At the end of each registration session (which lasts for 2 to 3 days), the college will notify the names of the candidates to whom it is offering admission in specific courses.
Step 4: For candidates whose names appear in the notified admission list of a college, two days will be given to secure admission in that round of admission.
Step 5: If the name of a candidate does not appear in the notified admission list of a college, the candidate is advised to once again register in the colleges that he/she is seeking admission to, on the dates of the next registration round.
Step 6: This procedure will carry on either till the 4th Registration session or till the time the ECA seats are filled in a college, whichever is earlier. NOTE 1: Candidates are advised to carry all relevant documents while registering at the colleges during the registration and verification sessions. NOTE 2: Candidates admitted under an ECA category have to sign a bond on a non-judicial stamp paper, committing to take part in that ECA activities of the college throughout their stay in college..
