ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

NATIONALITY:
Only Indian Citizens are eligible for appointment under sport quota

Age (as on 01‐09‐2016):
  1. Subordinate staff: Between 18 and 26 years i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/09/1990 and not later than 01/09/1998(both dates inclusive).
  2. Clerical staff: Between 20 and 28 years i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/09/1988 and not later than 01/09/1996(both dates inclusive)
  3. Officers: Between 20 and 30 years i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/09/1986 and not later than 01/09/1996(both dates inclusive).

DA, HRA, CCA etc. shall be paid as per Bank’s rules in force from time to time depending on the place of posting. Medical Aid, Leave Fare / Travel Concession, retirement benefits and other perquisites will be admissible as per Bank’s rules.

PROBATION:
Officer Cadre : 2 years
Clerical and Subordinate Cadre : 6 months

HOW TO APPLY
  1. Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.denabank.com and click on the Home page open the link "Recruitment"
  2. Thereafter, open the recruitment Notification entitled “Dena Bank Recruitment under Sports Quota”
  3. Take a Print of the "Instructions for application for funds transfer under NEFT"
  4. Go to the nearest Branch of any Bank which is listed by RBI under RTGS/ NEFT system and Pay in cash, the appropriate application Fee in CBS Account No. 116211021206 with Corporate Business Branch, BKC, Mumbai - 51 in the name & style of “Dena Bank SPO Rectt-2016”
  5. Obtain the applicant’s Copy of Counterfoil of the Application Fee duly receipted by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & Code Number, (b) UTR Number, (c) date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official.
  6. Original counterfoil of the NEFT will have to be submitted with application form. Without counterfoil of the fee payment challan, his/her application will not be considered for the applied post.
  7. Candidates, who are Indian citizens, must submit their application as per application format attached herewith.
  8. A recent photograph should be pasted on the application with signature across it.
  9. All other required details as mentioned therein should be filled in correctly.
  10. Application form complete in all respects should be sent by Registered / Speed post only in a closed envelope superscribed as ‘APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT UNDER SPORTS QUOTA (_______ DISCIPLINE) IN DENA BANK” to “THE ASSTT. GENERAL MANAGER (H.R.M), DENA BANK, HEAD OFFICE, DENA CORPORATE CENTRE, C-10, BLOCK G, BANDRA KURLA COMPLEX, BANDRA [EAST], MUMBAI 400051”
  11. Applications may also be dropped in a special box kept at the Bank’s Head Office at the above address from 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. on weekdays except on 2nd & 4th Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays.
  12. Application must be accompanied by attested copies of certificates in respect of educational qualification and details of relevant sports achievements supported by documentary evidence.
  13. No originals should be sent.
  14. Incomplete applications / applications received after the last date mentioned herein are liable to be rejected.
LAST DATE:
Duly filled in and signed application, and accompanied with required documents, should reach the Bank’s Office on or before 20.09.2016.

GENERAL RULES/ INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Only Indian citizens are eligible for appointment under the Sports quota.
  2. The candidate must be an active sportsperson and should be fit enough in the future tournaments.
  3. The Bank reserves the right to reject any application at its discretion without assigning any reason thereof.
  4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  5. Applicants who are already employed in Public Sector Undertakings or Government / Quasi Government Departments etc. should route their applications through proper channel.
  6. The Bank takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in postal transit of any application or communication.
  7. Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit their applications well in time before the last date to avoid possible delay in postal transit. Applications received after the last date shall be rejected.
  8. Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. Bank would be free to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he / she has applied.
  9. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect / false information / certificate / document or has suppressed any material facts, his / her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcoming/s is / are detected even after appointment, his / her service is liable to be terminated.
  10. A Candidate seeking relaxation in age / fee must submit an attested copy of the certificate in support of his / her claim and should not send original certificates /testimonials.
  11. Any application not accompanied by copies of relevant certificate/s, where necessary, or not in prescribed format or not signed by the candidate or incomplete in any respect or overwritten / altered, not authenticated and not legible may not be entertained.
  12. Only attested true copies of certificates should be sent by the candidate along with the application.
  13. Appointment of selected candidate is subject to his / her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
  14. Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the conduct of the interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal inquiries shall be entertained by the Bank in this regard.
  15. Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated in Mumbai.
  16. Candidates who are called for interview will have to appear in the interview at their own cost. The SC / ST candidates called for interview will be reimbursed ordinary sleeper class railway fare if the journey is over 30 kilometers from their place of residence.
  17. The Bank shall not entertain requests from the candidates seeking advice about their eligibility to apply.
Obligations of the sportsmen Employee appointed in terms of the above
  1. The sportsmen recruited under these rules would be obliged to play for the Bank’s team whenever and wherever necessary. If a sportsman employee is required to participate in a State/National/ International events he will have to seek prior permission of the Bank which will not be normally refused, but the Bank reserves the right to withhold such permission at its own discretion without assigning any reason.
  2. Refusal to play for Bank’s team or failure to obtain prior permission of the Bank to play elsewhere would tantamount to misconduct and shall attract disciplinary proceedings provided for in the relative Service rules.
  3. All sportsmen recruited under these rules will be required to give a written undertaking to the bank to the above effect at the time of their appointment in the Bank.
  4. The selected sportsman in officer cadre shall be required to execute a service Bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum period of three years from the date of joining the bank failing which they shall have to pay an amount of Rs.1.50 lakh (Rupees one lakh fifty thousand Only).
