An Indian Army Recruitment Rally under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai will be conducted by Army Recruiting Office, Visakhapatnam from 05 Oct 2016 to 15 Oct 2016 at District Sports Stadium,Kakinada, East Godavari (AP) to enroll eligible candidates into the Indian Army from six districts of Andhra Pradesh ie, East Godavari, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, Krishna and Yanam(Puducherry) in Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier Clerk & Store Keeper Technical, Soldier General Duty and Soldier Tradesmen and DSC categories.
Candidates will have to apply online through Mee Seva or any personal computer with internet facility or Cyber Cafe on Indian Army website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in from 21 Aug 2016 to 19 Sep 2016. Admit Cards will be issued online after 20 Sep 2016. Date of reporting at rally site will be given on admit card of candidates sent on their email ID. Candidates will be required to take print out of their admit card after 20 Sep 2016 from Indian Army website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and report at rally site as per date and time given on admit card along with application downloaded from the above website.
Recruitment Programme.
Date and time of screening of documents and Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Tests will be intimated to candidates in their Admit Cards on their e-mail ID.
Medical Exam of Candidates.
Primary medical examination will be carried out wef 06 Oct 2016 to 15 Oct 2016 at Rally site.
Notes : (a) Candidates who have qualified 10+2 with vocational subjects are not eligible for screening for Soldier Technical, Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical categories. They can apply for Soldier
Tradesman/ Soldier General Duty categories if meeting required percentage of marks.
(b) Candidates who have undertaken Class X Board Examination with Vocational subjects are eligible for enrollment as Soldier Tradesman category only.
(c) Candidates who have undertaken Andhra Pradesh Open School Society Examination are also eligible for enrollment.
(d) Candidates who are between 171/2 years and 18 years of age (i.e. whose date of birth is between 01 Oct 1998 to 01 Apr 1999) must bring ‘Consent Certificate” from their parents / guardian and ensure filing up para 1 (e) of the Affidavit. Format of the same is given on last page of this notification.
(e) Sportsmen who have represented India at International level and State at National level but not earned 1st / 2nd position in the last 2 years are eligible for relaxation in Physical Standards and Bonus Marks as per laid down policies on the subject.
(f) Sportsmen who have represented District at State level and University Team or Regional Team at District level will be eligible for relaxation in Physical Standards and Bonus Marks only in case they have earned 1st / 2nd position in last 2 years.
(g) Candidates who have NCC ‘C’ certificate are exempted from CEE for recruitment into Soldier General Duty and Soldier Tradesman categories. Candidates holding NCC ‘B’ and ‘A’ certificates are eligible for Bonus Marks in CEE as authorized.
(h) Candidates who have NCC ‘C’ certificate and have also participated in Republic Day Parade are exempted from CEE for recruitment into Army in all categories.

(c) Tattos / Engraving Permanent Body Tattoos are permitted only on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent Body Tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection.
9. Registration.
All candidates are required to register themselves online on the Indian Army website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and apply online wef 21 Aug 2016 to 19 Sep 2016. 10. Selection Procedure.
The undermentioned tests are compulsory for all candidates :
(a) Physical Fitness Test. (i) 1.6 KM Run Maximum time for Soldier GD is 6 mins and for other categories is 6 mins 20 secs to pass.
(ii) Pull Ups Minimum six pull ups to pass.
(iii) 9 Feet Ditch Jump. Must jump 9 feet ditch successfully to pass.
(iv) Balancing Beam. Must cross successfully to pass.
(b) Physical Measurement Test.
As per eligibility requirement of category given at para 6 above.
(c) Medical
The Medical Examination will be carried out on date given by Medical Team. Candidates to check for date of Medical Examination at rally site. Candidate found medically Permanently Unfit (PUF) / Temporary Unfit (TUF) at rally site will report to medical specialist at INHS Kalyani alongwith 03x latest passport size photographs. Candidate will ensure that review medical is carried out within 21 days for PUF candidates and 42 days for TUF candidates.
(d) Common Entrance Examination
All the candidates except DSC who have been declared fit at rally site in the Medical Examination will undergo a Common Entrance Examination at Army Recruiting Office, Visakhapatnam location on 06 Nov 2016.
11. Documents Required.
Candidates are advised to bring the following documents in original on the day of the rally as per rally programmer. The documents should preferably be laminated, arranged properly in following sequence and contained in a file cover, along with two photostat copies of each certificate duly attested.
Candidates are advised to check their certificates and marks sheet for mismatch of name, Date of Birth, Father’s name, School and other particulars in various certificates. Nativity Certificate and 10th class certificate are the basic documents. All seals and language of text should also be in ENGLISH. Production of fake documents & giving false information will lead to termination of candidature/service even after enrollment:
(a) Education Certificates. SSC onwards.
(b) Nativity, Community, Caste, Date of Birth Certificate. Candidates must produce only latest Automated Nativity, Community and Date of Birth Certificates in English issued by District Administration of Andhra Pradesh with SSID No.
(c) Study and Conduct Certificate from last education institute in English (Not more than six month old).
(d) Character Certificate from Village Sarpanch / Administrative Officer in English language (not older than three months as on 05 Oct 2016)
(e) Transfer certificate
(f) NCC / Sports / ITI & Computer Certificate of O++ level, if held.
(g) Affidavit. All candidates reporting for the rally will bring with them the affidavit duly completed in all respects. Candidates who are between 17½ years and 18 years of age (i.e. whose date of birth is between 01 Oct 1998 to 01 Apr 1999) must complete para 1 (e) of the affidavit also. Format of the same is given on last paqe of this notification.
(h) In case of Non- Matric Candidates, Transfer Certificate duly verified by District Education Officer (DEO)and Mark Sheet of last examination passed, affixed with school seal and attested by Head Master.
(j) In case of son of Servicemen / Ex-Servicemen, Relationship Certificate duly signed by Chief Record Officer/Senior Record Officer of respective Record Office with date of birth, joint photographs of the candidate with his father.
(k) There is a provision for instant enrolment for son of War Widows and Battle Casualties. Eligible candidates to contact Army Recruiting Office, Visakhapatnam.
(l) Twelve latest coloured 34 x 45mm passport size photographs not taken earlier than Six months with Name and Date of Birth printed on bottom of photographs of the candidates.
CANDIDATES WHO ARE NOT IN POSSESSION OF ABOVE MENTIONED DOCUMENTS, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RECRUITMENT RALLY
12. Pay and Allowances and other Facilities.
After enrollment, a soldier is entitled to get approx Rs 35,000/- per month and allowances as admissible alongwith other facilities such as entitled Ration/Ration Money, Clothing,Medical for self and dependents, accommodation and free Railway Warrant for train journey of self and dependents,Group Housing Scheme, Army Group Insurance Scheme of Rs 25,00,000/-. Fully paid Annual Leave of 60 days,Casual Leave 30 days, medical leave as recommended by medical authority and leave encashment of 30 days in a calendar year and maximum 300 days in service.
13. Pension.
Service pension is admissible to an individual on completion of mandatory minimum service and subject to rank.
14. Promotion.
A Sepoy can become an Officer/Junior Commissioned Officer subject to fulfilling certain conditions.
15. Advisory
(a) Candidates to be self contained for food and water on the day of screening and subsequent days. No one will be allowed to leave the Rally Ground during the Documentation / Screening / Medical Test.
(b) Candidates are advised to report to the rally site strictly as per programme given to avoid over crowding and unnecessary waiting at rally site
(c) Candidates are advised to take care of their documents / belongings against theft during Rally
(d) Any type of mobiles phones, recording devices, electronic gadgets are not permitted at the Rally site. No seperate arrangement will be made for their safe custody.
16. Caution for all Candidates :
(a) Candidates to be aware that on enrollment into the Indian Army, there will be certain implications and restrictions on the fundamental rights guaranteed to them by the Constitution of India as per provision of the Army Act 1950 and Army Rule 1954. The candidate will have to furnish an undertaking to this effect during enrollment.
(b) Army will not be responsible for any injury or death caused to any candidate during recruitment process/tests. The candidates will participate at their own risk.
(c) Recruitment is a free service and candidates are cautioned against falling victim to unscrupulous elements / middlemen / agents / touts. Paying money to agents / touts is a punishable offence. Candidates are advised not to waste time and money on such activities. No one can help except your hard work.
(d) Bio metric Identification and hand writing analysis is done at each stage. Imposters will be caught and handed over to Police.
(e) Use of any unfair means will make the candidate liable to disqualification at all stages of recruitment whenever found. He will be handed over to Police thereafter.

(h) All candidates are warned against the use of performance enhancing drugs during Physical Proficiency Test and dope examination of the candidates may be carried out randomly at the rally site. Dope positive candidates will be disqualified.

(l) Enrollment in the Army is not on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis. All candidates reporting at the stadium will be checked for suitability for enrollment in the Army. No one with a valid admit card will be left out. Hence, candidates are advised not to rush to the entry gate and create any kind of stampede. Remember, it may lead to injury rendering a candidate permanently unfit for entry into the Armed Forces. All are advised to maintain silence, behave in a disciplined manner and follow the instructions being given by the Police and ARO Staff. Those who create unruly scene will be prosecuted under the law of the land after arrest by the Police.
(m) Text given in English language will be treated as correct in case of mismatch of interpretation in Telugu language.
(n) Candidates are advised to bring their Rain Coat / Umbrella
