Applications are invited from unmarried candidates who fulfil eligibility condition of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for entry as Permanent Commission (PC) officers in Executive (GS) branch and Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in Executive and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES), for course commencing June 2017.ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Educational Qualifications. Applicant should be in the final year (4th / 5th year) in an AICTE recognised university with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year (till V semester for BE/B Tech and. VII Semester for 5 year integrated degree course):

Note:
(i) All candidates recommended by SSB will have to undergo medicals as per extant regulation.
(ii) Tattoo Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body, however, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal communities/from tribal areas as declared by the Government of India. For other candidates permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Promotions and Pay Scale: Promotion from Sub-Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis subject to fulfilment of requisite Service conditions. The Pay Scale and promotion criteria are as follows (under revision):

HOW TO APPLY
Candidate can submit only Online (e-application) for this entry from 25 Jun 16 to 07 Aug 16.
Online (e-application) Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:
- Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate.
- Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.

- Click on the 'Apply Online Officer entry ‘on the Home page.
- Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you highlight each field.
- After filling the form click on Preview and check if all the information entered by you are correct.
- Before clicking the Print application button, it should be checked in all the details entered in the form is correct as you will not be able to make any corrections after saving the records. Candidates can take the print of the application form by entering the relevant details.
- Print a copy of this Application Form having the system generated Application Number. The copy of this application form along with copy of class X, 10+2 and mark sheets till fifth semester of B. Tech is to be submitted to the Campus Selection Team of Indian Navy at the time of campus interview.
Although candidates may be eligible for more than one branch/cadre yet they have to submit only one application and mention priority at para 2 of Application Format. If candidate has submitted Duplicate application, his candidature will be cancelled at any stage of selection process.
Cost to Company (CTC): The CTC for a Sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs 74,100/- to 90,600/- per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade pay, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowances, Ration Allowance and Transport allowance. These rates are not statutory and are subject to change.
Privileges: Free Medical Facilities for Self and Dependants, Entitled Ration, Canteen Facilities, Mess/Club/Sports Facilities, and Furnished Govt. Accommodation &Car/Housing Loan at subsidised rate.
Group Insurance and Gratuity Insurance cover (on contribution) of Rs. 57lakhs for Aviators/ Submariners and Rs. 50 lakhs for all other branches are applicable. Gratuity will be granted to the officers as per the latest rules in force.
Leave Entitlements Officers are entitled to (subject to service exigencies) 60 days annual and 20 days casual leave every year. Free travel for self and family as per extant rules.
Adventure and Sports: The Navy provides facilities to pursue any sport of your liking. In addition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports, such as river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, wind surfing etc.
Physical fitness: In Naval Academy curriculum, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to build up stamina/physique by physical training, sports, running, swimming, etc. so that you meet the training goals successfully.
