Karnataka Air Force Recruitment Rally IAF Mysuru 2016

Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from State of Karnataka to join as Airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P) & Med Asst only} Trades will be held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Nazarbad, Mysuru, Karnataka from 17 February 2016 to 19 February 2016 as per the Selection Programme given below.
Selection Programme: The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates (from State of Karnataka) reporting up to 10 AM on 17 February 2016 at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test. (THE RECRUITMENT TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/PILOTS/NAVIGATORS.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS :

Date of Birth Block :
  1. Candidates born between 01 August 1996 to 30 November 1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.
  2. In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years.
Educational Qualification :
  1. Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {For Automobile Technician, GTI & IAF(P) only} Trades.
    1. Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
    2. (ii) Passed Two years Vocational Course recognized by Association of Indian Universities (CBSE / Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Education Kerala) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

  2. Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {For Medical Assistant only} Trade
  1. Passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination withPhysics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Domicile Requirement:
To be eligible to appear in the rally at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Nazarbad, Mysuru (Karnataka), the candidates are required to satisfy the following conditions:
  1. The School / College / Institute from where candidates have passed the qualifying examination should be within the geographical / administrative limits of State of Karnataka. If the name of District is not mentioned with the name of Institution in the certificate / marks sheet of qualifying examination, the candidates are to produce ‘Domicile Certificate’ issued by any Gazetted Officer in Revenue Department or any official authorised by the State Government of Karnataka.
  2. Permanent Domicile of State of Karnataka who have passed the qualifying examination from anywhere in India. However, such candidates have to produce the Domicile Certificate prior to commencement of examination from appropriate authority.
  3. Sons of Serving Air Force Personnel, irrespective of their domicile status may be permitted to appear in the rally subject to submission of Son of serving Air Force personnel (SOAFP) certificate (format available on AFNET CASB website) (or) PPO, Discharge Book, Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV for Sons of retired/deceased/discharged Air Force personnel

Medical Standards :
  1. General Medical Standards for Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) {Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P) & Med Asst only} Trades are as follows: -
    1. Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
    2. Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
    3. Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK):not acceptable.
    4. Hearing:Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
    5. Dental:Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
    6. Health:Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
    7. Body Tattoo:Permanent body tattoos on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), Back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes only are permitted. However, right to decide on acceptability/ unacceptability of the individual rests with the Selection Centre. Candidates with permanent body tattoos are to submit a photograph of the tattoo with details of size and type of the Tattoo

  2. Height, Leg Length, Visual Standards and Colour Vision for Group ‘Y’(Non-Technical) {Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P) & Med Asst only} Trades are as follows:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS :

Tenure & Training:

Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years (subject to service conditions). Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at Basic Training Institute, Belagavi (Karnataka). On successful completion of JBPT, candidates will be sent for trade training of specified duration. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit. AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING, THE AIRMEN WILL BE DEPLOYED ON GROUND BASED JOBS AS PER THEIR ALLOTTED TRADE. ALLOTTED TRADE WILL NOT BE CHANGED ONCANDIDATE’S REQUEST ON ANY GROUNDS.

Pay & Allowances:

During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP) and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be Rs. 20,000/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance, Leave Ration Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Family planning Allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

Perks:

Perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical facilities, Accommodation, CSD(Canteen) facilities, Leave (60 days Annual and 30 days Casual in a Calendar year as a privilege), Recreational facilities, Transport for school going children and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) are also provided as per the existing rules. Notwithstanding the above, Group Insurance Cover of Rs. 25, 00,000/- at a premium of Rs. 1,630/- per month for all airmen and facility of Group Housing Scheme is also extended. Other facilities by Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) are also extended to the families of airmen.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

Verification of Eligibility: 

Original Certificates, Marks Sheets and other required applicable original/duly filled documents like NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate, Son of serving Air Force personnel (SOAFP) certificate (or) PPO, Discharge Book, Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV for Sons of retired/ deceased/discharged Air Force personnel (or) Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/Navy/Government organisation), Consent Form signed by parents if candidate below 18 years of age and passport size colour photographs will be required and scrutinized/verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of Written Test to ascertain the eligibility in prima-facie. Detailed verification will be carried out later in respect of candidates who pass Written Test. Candidature of those who do not meet the laid down educational criteria is liable to be rejected during Initial verification of original certificates & mark sheets prior to conduct of written test and also during detailed verification on clearing the written test.

Note:

The original Passing Certificates / Marks Sheets will not be retained by the Selection Centre. The same will be returned to the candidates on completion of detailed verification.
