1. Unit Headquarters Quota (UHQ) Enrolment will be conducted at Army Air Defence Centre for Rtg Sub Cycle (Oct 2016 – Mar 2017) wef 13 Oct – 22 Oct 2016. Enrolment will be conducted strictly in accordance with the instrs given in Policy Compendium for Recruitment of JCOs & OR-2014. Eligible candidates will report at Main Gate of Army AD Centre, Gopalpur-on-Sea at 0400hrs on scheduled dates of screening. NRS is Brahmapur, Distt-Ganjam (Odisha), loc on main Chennai - Howrah route.
2. Only Relationship candidates (One Son / Brother of Servicemen / ESM) can apply for UHQ Rally at this Centre. Open category candidates can apply ONLY for Outstanding Sportsmen and Soldier (Musician).Units may sponsor deserving Sportsmen (National / State level or 1st / 2nd posn at University / School Bd / Distt level) who will be selected on the basis of their sports proficiency and passing of all mandatory tests for Recruitment. Vac for Sportsmen are available in Sol (GD) and Sol (Tech) trades only.

1. Medical of Successful Candidates except Sol (Clk / SKT) will start wef 21 Oct 16.
2. CEE for all Cat except Sol (Clk / SKT) will be held on 29 Jan 2017.
3. CEE for Sol (Clk / SKT) will be held on 26 Feb 2017.
4. Candidates are advised to report to the Rally site strictly as per dates given for each category, to avoid overcrowding and unnecessary waiting at the Rally site.
Criteria for Enrollment :
5. Education Criteria. Details of edn criteria applicable for enrolment are given at Appx ‘A’.
6. Physical Criteria. Details of Physical criteria and Relaxation for various cats are given at Appx ‘B’.
Age Variation for Relationship Candidates. Difference of up to 366 days is acceptable as minor variation. Any variation beyond 366 days between the date of birth mentioned in Education Certificate / Birth Certificate and Sheet Roll of Serving / ESM if found, will be treated as a major variation & will NOT be eligible for enrollment under UHQ Quota. They may however apply through nearest AROs for selection as Open Cat candidates.
Marital Status.
Married persons below 21 yrs of age will not be eligible for recriutment except in case of real brother of battle casualty who marries widow of the battle casualty. In such cases reqd docus will be fwd to Rtg Dte for waiver of the QR by the competent auth. Enrolled candidates who are above 21 yrs of age
will not ask for any married accn or any other allied privileges available to married personnel, during the trg. A Cert to this effect will be rendered by the candidate in accordance with IHQ of MoD (Army) Rtg 5 (OR) (A) letter No 62569/Rtg 5 (OR) (A) dt 07 Feb 2007.
Age Limit. The age of candidates as per trade / category will be calculated as on first day of rally i.e 13 Oct 2016. Candidates born between the fwg dates are eligible to participate :
11. Relationship Criteria.
UHQ Quota is applicable for only ONE Son and ONE real Brother of Serviceman / ESM. Original Relationship Certificate issued by concerned Records Office is mandatory, and will be verified prior to enrollment. Relaxation in Physical Criteria and Bonus Marks is applicable in case of son only. Clarification on enrollment of SECOND Son is given at Para 26 and 27 of this letter.
