Qualification (i) Diploma in Midwifery.

  1. Age Limit for all posts – Min.18 to Max.25 years as on 04-04-2016 and for departmental candidates of Lansdowne Cantt is 40years for general Category and 45 years for SC/ST as on 04-04-16.
  2. Applications are invited for the above post should be received to this office on or before 04-04-16. The applications will be submitted by the applicant with 02 passport size photographs writing name on the back of photo, self attested Xerox copies of educational qualifications and experience. The applicant should clearly mention on the top of the envelop “application for the post of “Junior Clerk” or “Assisstant Teacher” or “MidWife”.
  3. The candidate applying for the post(s) is required to deposit application fee in shape of Demand Draft amounting to Rs 100/- Rupees one hundred only (NonRefundable) in favour of Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board Lansdowne, payable at SBI, Lansdowne (in absence of which the application will not be entertained). However, candidates belonging to reserved category are exempted from application fee
  4. The CEO reserves the right to accept or reject any application or all without assigning any reasons thereof.
  5. Employees of the Cantonment Board Lansdowne can also apply as per rules.
  6. The written test will be held at 1100 hrs on 04-05-2016 for Teachers and MidWife and for clerical will be 05-05-2016 at 1100 hrs.
  7. For Junior Clerk written test will consist of objective type of General English/hindi and Gen. Knowledge with skill test in computer typing. The paper duration will be 1.30 hrs and maximum marks will be 150. Typing test of 50 marks will be conducted after screening of written test and will be intimated separately.
  8. For Assistant Teachers written test will consit of objective type on subject related questions, teaching ability, reasoning & gen.knowledge. The paper duration will be 2.00 hrs and maximum marks will be 200.
  9. For MidWife written test will consist of objective type on Gen. Knowledge and subject of midwifery, etc. The paper duration will be 2.00 hrs and maximum marks will be 200.

General rules for recruitment are:
  • Age relaxation as per existing rules is available to candidates belonging to specific category viz SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen. Only those posts which are reserved for specific category are eligible for age relaxation.
  • It is clarified that candidates belonging to reseved categories selected on their merit shall be treated as general candidates and they will not be adjusted against the quota reserved for their respective categories
  • It is also clarified that reserved candidates applying for unreserved post are not entitled for any relaxation in age limit. Age relaxation is applicable only for reserved posts as per rules.
  • The age relaxation will be given to OBC /SC& PH candidate as per rules applicable.
  • Cantt Board services are non-tranferable at present and governed by CFSR rule 1937 and other rules applicable.
  • HH candidate may also apply for Junior Clerks as per suitability for the post.

General Points:
  1. Applications without details/copies of self-attested certificate etc. will be rejected summarily and no further correspondence will be entertained.
  2. Application received after due date will not be considered.
  3. The application is to be accompanied with self addressed envelope with appropriate postage stamp duly affixed.
  4. The date/time and place of exam will be intimated by post to eligible candidates. The organization will not be responsible for any kind of postal delay.
  5. Candidate attending examination will not be paid any kind of TA/DA allowances.
  6. Employee appointed in the Cantt Board will be governed by the defined Contribution “New Pension Scheme”.
